How to help your child learn Mandarin at home

Each Early-Birds Mandarin lesson comes with:
1 text sheet,
4~6 flash cards, and
1 audio CD (lesson recording)

Please play the audio CD as much as you can. The more
he/she listens, the more he/she will feel comfortable
speaking and listening to Mandarin. It would be great if
you could create a routine for listening to the CDs
(e.g. Breakfast time, bedtime, in the car…) during the day.

You could show the flash cards to your child when
listening to the CD. You can also play games with the
cards (such as Snap, guessing or matching the cards to
the real objects).

Please DO NOT test your child, or force him/her to
repeat or answer in Mandarin. At this stage, our goal is
to get him/her interested in the language by building a
fun and pleasant learning environment.
