Terms & Conditions

Enrollment & Payment of Fees

Ÿ Please complete and sign the enrollment form.

Ÿ Cheques should be made payable to ¡§THE WORD SHOP¡¨.

Ÿ Payment must be made before the start of each month according to the number of lessons will be taken.

Ÿ Places are confirmed only when full payment has been received.

Refund

Ÿ After enrollment, refunds will only be made if there is a change in schedule (and the students decline the revised arrangements), if the class is not suitable for the student¡¦s level, or if the class is cancelled.

Ÿ Refunds will be made within one month after request for refunds.

Absence & Make-up Class

Ÿ No make-up lesson for absence without notice, no more than one absence per month.

Ÿ Notice of general absence must be given 2 days before the lesson.

Ÿ Notice of medical absence must be given at least 1 hour before the lesson starts.

Weather & Cancelled Classes

Ÿ Classes will be cancelled during Black Rain Storm warnings and when Typhoon No. 8 Signal is raised.

Ÿ Please contact the centre to confirm classes during Typhoon Signal No. 3 and Red Rain Storm Warnings.

Ÿ Make up lessons will be arranged if classes are cancelled due to the above reasons.

Parent¡¦s/Guardian¡¦s Consent

All participants enrolled at Jumpstart Mandarin Learning Centre (The Word Shop) do so at their own risk and in any case Jumpstart Mandarin Learning Centre (The Word Shop), its owner and staff shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever arising from personal injury or loss of property.
